Tammy Rose Gibbs, 48, of Topeka, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011.
She was born August 30, 1962 in Montgomery, WV, the daughter of Russell James and Delphia Virginia (Pritt) Moore.
She was a Child Care Provider and previously employed by Central OK Printing, Topeka.
Tammy married Jerry G. Gibbs on May 25, 1985 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include children, Faith V. Gibbs, Joshua G. Gibbs and Katie L. Gibbs; two grandchildren, Brittany and Jada Brown all of Topeka; and 7 siblings, Wanda Grey, Bruce Moore, Roger Moore, Debbie Dunlap, Donald Moore, Melvin Moore, and Candice Ware.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings, Russell "Junior" Moore and Alice "Sis" Coleman.
Tammy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed being with family and friends and lived life to the fullest.
Funeral ceremonies will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Mrs. Gibbs will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Tammy Rose Gibbs Memorial Fund, which will be designated later, and sent in care of CoreFirst Bank, 3035 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66611.
