Sydney I. Sorrells, 65, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2022.
She was born May 30, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Herman and Dolores (Jernigan) Sorrells. She graduated from Silver Lake High, the class of 1974.
Sydney was a FARS analyst with the Kansas Department of Transportation, retiring after 35 years of service.
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Beach-Frye; two siblings, Brenda Trimble and Rodger Sorrells; 8 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Matthew Nelson, and brother, Tommy Sorrells.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Prairie Home Cemetery, NW 35th & Menoken Rd., Topeka.
