Susanne Everett, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2005 at a Raymore, Missouri care facility. She has resided in Topeka for 86 years before moving to Raymore in December of 2003. She was born on November 25, 1917 in Topeka, the daughter of Frank and Maude Burdge Smith. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1935 and received a B.A. Degree from Washburn University in 1939. She was an elementary school teacher at West Indianola, Silver Lake and was employed by U.S.D. 501 at Sumner Elementary School for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of First Christian Church of Topeka. She married Winfred M. Everett on April 25, 1942. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1994. Survivors include three sons, David P. Everett of Owasso, OK, Kenneth D. Everett of Overland Park, KS, Frank H. Everett of Kansas City, MO, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Cremation took place. Memorial servivces will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be given to First Christian Church, 1880 S.W.
