Susan E. Harkness, 52, Mayetta, passed away, Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Stormont-VailHospital following a brief illness.
She was born January 6, 1956 in Topeka the daughter of DeWitt and Veva Harkness. Susan attended Gage Elementary, Roosevelt Jr. High, TopekaHigh School and WichitaStateUniversity.
She was co owner of Atlas Fire Alarm Systems in Hoyt, KS.
Survivors include two brothers, John S. Harkness (Diane), Maple Hill, KS and DeWitt M. Harkness, Jr. (Sondra), Topeka.
Family and friends will gather at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.Friday March 7, 2008 followed by graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at the HalfDayCemetery (¼ mile east of Hwy #75 and N. 62nd Street.).
