Susan Borghardt

Susan Ann Borghardt, 48, daughter of Carl "Truman" and Sylvia (Wulf) Borghardt, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on April 21, 2011, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. Susan was born in Topeka on August 23, 1962. She attended McCarter Elementary School, Landon Junior High School, and graduated from Topeka West High School in 1980. She attended Washburn University. Susan was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

She was survived by her parents and brother, David, all of Topeka. Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy Harris.

Susan will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, KS. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier, Topeka, KS 66606.
