Sue A. Tribbey-Foster

Sue A. Tribbey-Foster, 59, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2006 surrounded by her family and friends at her home. She was born on December 2, 1946 in Garden City, the daughter of Harry H. and Elsie F. Becker Garrett. Sue was raised in Sublette and graduated from Sublette High School in 1964 and attended Fort Hays State University. She moved to Topeka in 1974. She was an active member of First Christian Church. She was involved in many community activities including the American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels and Junior League of Topeka. Sue married Michael D. Tribbey on August 14, 1966 in Sublette. In 1985, she and her husband opened three "I Can't Believe It's Yogurt" Stores in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1989. Together, they raised two sons. She marreid Clifford "Kip" Foster on June 6, 1997 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Jason M. Tribbey of Lenexa, Thad H. Tribbey and his wife, Michelle, and their twin sons, Aaron and William of Overland Park, two step-sons, Brian Foster and his wife, Lainie and their son, Dylan and Heath Foster and his wife, Brandy and their children, Halston, Drayton and Paxton all of Topeka and her mother-in-law, Gladys Foster of Topeka. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. She will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. The casket will remain closed.
