Steven "Steve" A. Frederick, 61, of Littleton, CO, formerly of Alma and Topeka, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013.
Steve was born January 19, 1952, in Topeka, son of James and Doris (Warner) Frederick. He was united in marriage on August 14, 1982, to Debora Anderson.
Steve worked at KNI, then owned and operated Stonewall Restaurant in Alma, and D & H Café in Edwardsville. He also worked for F & A Food Sales, was a chef at Engroff Catering and a director of culinary services at Atria Senior Living, and traveled nationally as a food specialist.
Steve enjoyed supporting his children's hobbies and was involved in many civic activities within the community. He was a humanitarian and loved to serve people.
He is survived by a wife, Debora Frederick, Littleton, CO; children, David (Hadley) Frederick, Topeka; Tyson (Esther) Frederick, Littleton, CO; Danielle (Brett) Larson, Hebron, NE; and Tanner Frederick, Independence, MO; grandchildren, Mason, Brooke and Vince Frederick, and Olivia Larson; brothers, Jim (Geralyn) Frederick, Topeka; Mike (Becky) Frederick, Corpus Christi, TX; Greg (Janine) Frederick, Topeka; and Larry (Brenda) Frederick, Topeka; and sister, Mary "Cookie" Frederick, Topeka; father and mother in law, Larry and Annamae Anderson, Alma; brothers in law, Greg (Angie) Anderson, Alma; Mike (Pamela) Anderson, Paxico; and Eric (Alyne) Anderson, Rossville; sisters in law, Teresa Anderson and her fiancé Tommy, Alma; and Sara (Jim) Diepenbrock, Alma; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. The family will greet friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013, at the funeral home.
