Clyde Stephen Redman, 79, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021.

He was born June 22, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Frederick and Vera (Cole) Redman. Steve married Irene F. Redman on August 12, 1972 in Topeka, Kansas. Mr. Redman's survivors include his wife, Irene F. Redman. His daughter, Linda Marie Jackson. His son, Frederick Stephen Redman and grandchildren Jessica Redman and Joshua Redman. His daughter, Melody Susanne Curtis, son-in-law Brian Curtis, and granddaughter, Rose Curtis. Steve is also survived by his brothers and their wives, Ken and Fran Redman of Derby, Kansas; Tom and Dora Redman of Talkeetna, Alaska; and Rick and Allison Redman of Littleton, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his Father, Frederick Eugene Redman, Mother, Vera Rose Redman.

He attended the University of Kansas for a couple of years before joining the Navy. He served in the Navy from 1963 to 1967. His final duty station was with the VS-30 Diamond Cutters Squadron in Key West, Florida.

Steve worked at Goodyear Tire before beginning his employment for the State of Kansas in Systems Maintenance. Steve started his 20 year career with Johnson Controls as an Automated Systems Engineer and retired as a Project Manager.

Steve enjoyed deer hunting around Kansas and elk hunting on horseback in Colorado. His hobby ranch and caring for the cattle brought him much happiness. After retirement, Steve was able to become certified to scuba dive. He made several dive trips to many locations including Cozumel, Roatán, and Bonaire. He also helped others work towards getting scuba certified.
