Stephen W. Dibble, 72, of Topeka, died Thursday, October 28. 2004 at a Topeka hospital. He was born on June 27, 1932 in Topeka, the son Ivan W. and Alice M. Lyman Dibble. He graduated from Topeka High School. He attended Arizona State University and graduated from Washburn University on June 6, 1954. He was initiated in Gamma Nu Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity on June 3, 1951. He was an Air Force Veteran. He and his father founded Holliday Square Shopping Center which he continued to manage until his retirement. He was a life long member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Topeka Country Club, the Topeka Jazz Workshop and served as treasurer for the Topeka Alumni Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He married Elaine Anglin in May 21, 1957 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Stanley S. Dibble of Lenexa, Ks., and Lance A. Dibble of Vancouver, Wa., and one daughter, Julie D. Woodland of Maple Hill, Ks., three grandchildren, Mason D. Woodland, Jake W. Woodland and Colby C. Woodland, one brother, Gordon Dibble of Bethesda, Maryland. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and William Dibble. Cremation has taken place. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Washburn University, 1700 S.W.
