Stephen D. Carroll, 68, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
He was born October 16, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Joan (Eldredge) Carroll. He graduated from Topeka West High School and worked for 21 years for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Enterprise Ship and in California for two years.
At the age of 20, Stephen became ill with diabetes. Although this disease made his life extremely difficult, his mom, dad, the VA Hospitals in Topeka, Kansas City and Hutchinson, his personal friend and caregiver, Heather Schuh and Heather's daughter, Samantha Conger made his life much more enjoyable.
Private graveside services will be at Fredonia Cemetery in Fredonia, Kansas.
