Stephen Charles Braun, 70, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022.
He was born April 27, 1951, in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of Glenn Arthur and Marian Frances (Lyons) Braun. He was a 1969 graduate of Topeka West High School.
Steve was employed by KNI in Topeka for many years until retiring.
Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn (Kirk) Duncan of Overland Park, KS and Janice (Lee) Crawford of Topeka; four nephews, Ryan Duncan, Ben Duncan, Nick Crawford and Mack Crawford; and his niece, Elaine Crawford.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve was an avid reader of history with a special interest in World War II. He loved outdoor walks, pets, grilling, sports and was a fan of the K.C. Chiefs and the KU Jayhawk basketball teams.
Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A private graveside service will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Topeka is assisting the family.
