Stephen "Steve" Agan, 61, of Topeka passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on January 27, 2018. He was born November 20, 1956, the son of Lawrence and Elaine Agan.
He graduated from Topeka West High School. Upon graduation he then attended Babson College in Wellesley, MA and then graduated from Washburn University in 1978 with a bachelor's in Business.
Steve worked for Dillons as a grocery manager for the majority of his career.
On July 21, 1978, he married Deborah Oliva.
Steve enjoyed reading non-fiction books, going to air shows and museums, and muscle cars. He loved watching KU and the Royals. He liked crossword puzzles and spent many hours playing Word Hero.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve is survived by his wife, Debbie, a daughter, Amanda Agan, a son, Matthew (Jamie) Agan, two grandchildren; Leighton and Jaxon Agan, a sister, Bonnie McBride and a brother, Richard Agan.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Private inurnment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka at a later date. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
