Stanley C. Bossler, 59, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 in Topeka. He was born on October 9, 1953 in Topeka to Kenneth N. Bossler and Jaqueline G. (Seaman) Bossler.
Stan was a 1971 graduate of Topeka West High School. Following graduation, he worked as a visual merchandising designer for Woolf Brothers and later Sakowitz in Dallas, TX. In 1980, while working full time, he began design school at El Centro College of Interior Design, Dallas. Upon graduating in 1984, he accepted a position with The Oglesby Group Architectural Firm, Dallas, which provided him the foundation to later start his own business in Dallas. After leaving The Oglesby Group, Stan joined Neiman Marcus in their corporate store planning division.
In 1994, Stan founded Bossler Design Services Inc. in Dallas. He had clients in 12 states and one in Florence, Italy. His services encompassed corporate, health care and residential as well as retail and showroom environments. Stan joined El Centro College in 2004 as an adjunct faculty instructor. He was invited annually to make a presentation at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, North Carolina.
Stan grew up as a member of First Presbyterian Church in Topeka and most recently was a member of Oak Lawn First United Methodist Church in Dallas.
Stan is survived by his aunt, Bette Bossler, cousin, Ann (David) Carnahan, all of Topeka, Amy (Marcos) Lerma and Paul Carnahan of Kansas City, KS and dear friend, Julie (Ron) Krebs of Sabetha, KS.
Celebration of Life services will at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, Topeka.
