Sondra Deforest
Sondra L. DeForest, 54, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at a Topeka hospital. She was born April 16, 1954, in Topeka, the daughter of Emmett "Mac" McGreevy and Wanita Rockhold.
Sondra was a caring and giving person, through the years she worked as an RN, taking care of elderly nursing patients at various nursing homes in the Topeka, KS and Kansas City, MO area. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life affected many through out the years, and she will be missed.
She is survived by her spouse Glenn Triebwasser, her two son's Lonnie & Carey DeForest, daughter-in-laws Teresa and Gina, and her grandchildren Hannah, Jesse, and Gavin. Other survivors include her brother and sisters; Junietta Kulhmann, Vera Dean Lewman, Carolyn Ratana, Gene McGreevy, Lenita Hunter, Sheryl Teneyck, Johnney Hudson and Thomas Sharp. She was preceded in death by her father Emmett "Mac" McGreevy and her stepfather John Hudson.
A visitation will be held for friends and family on March 23, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue in Topeka.
