Shirley Phillips
Shirley L. Phillips, of Topeka, died Sunday, July 11, 2004. She was born on July 14, 1930, near
Valley Falls, Ks., the daughter of John Henry and Pauline Groner Jones. She married Carl
Phillips on June 25, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1996. She was also preceded in
death by her parents, her sister, Camille, her daughter, Pamela and her grandson, Jason.
Survivors include her son Randy and his wife, Susie of San Diego, CA., three grandchildren,
Ryan, Brad and Casey, one brother, David and his family of Ft.Worth, TX., one sister, Patricia
Peschke and her family of Milwaukee, WI., and a companion, Walter Clark. Cremation took
place. No public services are planned. Memorial contributions may be given to the organization
of the donor's choice. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements
