Shirley Otto

Shirley Otto, 89, of Auburn, Kansas passed away on January 12th, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. 

 She was born on October 5, 1935 to Lorenzo and Olive Fidler in Nodaway, IA. 

 Growing up, Shirley attended High School in Tonganoxie, Kansas and that was where she met the love of her life, Bill Otto. 

Shirley and Bill lived in Topeka and Tecumseh, Kansas where they raised their two daughters, Susie Otto Griffith and Kris Otto. Together they enjoyed their daughters and gardening.

 Throughout her life, Shirley loved to read and her family. Some of the things she was most passionate about were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 Shirley is survived by her loving daughters Susie Otto Griffith and Kris Otto, her son-in-law Mike Griffith, her granddaughter Amanda Griffith Meacham, Caleb Meacham her husband and their children Madison Meacham VanderWaerdt, her husband Hayden VanderWaerdt, Bradley Meacham, Aspen DeSpain and Harper Meacham. Her grandson William Griffith, her granddaughter Megan Otto and her fiancée Eric Frias, her grandson Mike Otto, Krista Otto, his wife and their children Ellie Otto and Avery Otto, her granddaughter Laura Worcester, her husband Koby Worcester and their children Casey Worcester, Corbyn Worcester and Lainey Worcester. 

 She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Otto, father, Lorenzo Fidler, and mother, Olive May Fidler (Scott), 

 A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, 3:30 pm at the Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, Kansas.
