Shirley V.Bradford Harrison,74, of Topeka, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Harrison worked for Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Kansas, retiring after more than 30 years of service.
She was born Octobr 1, 1929 in Topeka, the daughter of William Allen and Grace Irene Fuqua Bradford. Except for a few years spent in Follansbee, WV with her husband and family, she was a lifelong resident of Topeka.She graduated from Topeka High School in 1947.
She was a member of The Mayflower Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Master Gardeners Group, and Prime Timers.
She married C.F.(Harry)Harrison on January 22, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1988.
Survivors include three daughters, Christine Wempe and Karen Whightsil, both of Topeka, and LuAnn Walter of Waynesville, GA; three sons, Mike Harrison and Greg Harrison, both of Topeka, and Kevin Harrison of Pittsburg, KS; a sister, Gwen Huey of Topeka, a brother, Bill Bradford of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW. 10th St. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 3.
