Shirley A. Dunnaway, 80, of Topeka, passed away, Friday, February 4, 2011 at Aldersgate Village.
She was born June 21, 1930 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Paul and Genevieve Sherrill Gordon. Shirley was a 1948 graduate of Topeka High School.
She was a homemaker.
Shirley married Bob Dunnaway July 1, 1950 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her son, Michael (Susan) Dunnaway, Perry, KS; two daughters, Sandra (Robert) Grosfield, Eskridge, KS; Rebecca (Mike) Jacobs, Shawnee, KS; a sister, Linda Johnson, Bend, OR; a brother, Paul Gordon, Jr., Burlingame, KS; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia McDaniel.
A funeral ceremony will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday February 8, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, Midland Hospice Care or Aldersgate Village and left in care of the funeral home.
