Shirley Ann Randel, 69, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Indian Meadows Nursing Center in Overland Park, KS.
Shirley was born, July 3, 1937 in Emmett, KS, the daughter of Ralph G. and Opal C. Bolin Sauvage. She attended grade school and graduated in Havensville, Ks in 1955. Following graduation, she married Wayne C. Randel on November 24, 1955.
Shirley worked as an Assistant Secretary for Kansas Mutual Insurance for 29 years and was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter 3000.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, two daughters, Joni and husband, Stan Michaelis and Ronda and husband, Neal Foster, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, Harold Sauvage, Karl Sauvage, and Gordon Sauvage and two sisters, Rosalie Ingram and Glenda Bosse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Step-Mother, Elaine Sauvage, and Step-Father, Luther Thrasher.
Services for Mrs. Randel will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel with Dr. David L. Myers officiating. Entombment will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. She will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and the family will welcome friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. this evening.
