Sherry L. Mcpherson

Sherry McPherson, 65, of Topeka, KS, passed away Monday, March 01, 2010 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. Sherry was born on July 2, 1944 in Topeka; daughter of Aden W. and Margie L. (Dubois) Gardner. She graduated from Topeka High School and worked as a Medical Aide at Presbyterian Manor. Sherry married Duane McPherson on June 3, 1962 and they later divorced.

Sherry is survived by her three children, Janette Miller, Lawrence; Devin (Lisa) McPherson, Topeka; and Aden McPherson, Holton; seven grandchildren, Nichole Miller, Christopher McPherson, Nicholas Miller, Kaitlyn McPherson, Alexis Miller, Olivia Warren, and Teegan McPherson; one great granddaughter, Lilly Call; and step-father, Daniel Hortenstine, Carbondale.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auborn Road, Topeka, KS. Sherry will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to LifeHouse Child Advocacy Center,303 S Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66603.
