Sharon K. Woods, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7 at her home due to complications of breast cancer.
She was born July 26, 1942 in Caldwell, ID, the daughter of Wesley and Vivian Bronson.
Sharon and her family moved to Agra, KS when she was two and lived on a farm north of town. After high school she attended college at Kansas Wesley in Salina and received her associates degree from Washburn University in Topeka. She worked for the U.S. Marshal Service in Topeka, Miami, Fl and Tucson, AZ, retiring in 2003.
She married Earnest W. Woods in 1962. They later divorced. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother, Vivian Bronson of Agra, KS and a daughter, Vicky M. Hill and her family, of Topeka.
Mrs. Woods will lie in state one hour prior to service time at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am, Friday, Sept 15 at the funeral home. Committal services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, Sept. 16 in the West Cedar Cemetery, just north of Agra, KS.
Memorial contributions may be made to in Sharon's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
