Sharon D. Ruff

Sharon D. Ruff, 67, Tecumseh, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Midland Hospice. She was born on December 1, 1943 in Topeka to Melo and Ruby (Creech) Haldeman. Sharon graduated from Washburn Rural High School. Sharon married Don J. Ruff on September 3, 1966 in Topeka, he preceded her in death on November 20, 2010. Sharon was a receptionist for Menninger's and in 1977 her and Don started Solid State Communications. She was a member of Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church.

Sharon is survived by her son Greg Ruff; daughter Christy Ruff, both of Topeka; and three grandchildren, Austin, Tyler and Haylea.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 8 at the Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until service time on Tuesday. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
