Saundra B. Gogian, 71, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born September 20, 1942, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, daughter of Samuel and Opal (McWhirter) Rowland.
Saundra worked as a nurse for 34 years.
Saundra married Frank Gogian and they were married for 49 years. They lived in Las Vegas for 44 years prior to moving to Topeka.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Gogian; son, Lawrence Gogian; daughter, Tiffany Gogian; daughter-in-law, Simona Gogian; four grandchildren, Brandon Gogian, Samantha Brown, Joshua Gogian, and Colin Gogian; three great-granddaughters, Lila and Lexi Brown and Gwendolyn Gogian.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Jeffery and David Gogian.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Interment will be at a later date at Palm Valley View Cemetery, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Saundra will lie in state and the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014.
