The Lord called home his Angel, Sandy Jo Hess on July 23, 2018.
Sandy Jo was born September 3, 1973, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of James and Phyllis Hess. Sandy Jo is survived by her parents; two sisters, Sonya (Alex Diaz) and Sherry; brother, Steven; and nephew, Will. Sandy participated in Exploring Life Day Services which was the highlight of her day. Sandy was very privileged to have had many wonderful people in her life that were very supportive of her including Tim Gorton; Mary Stanford and her daughter, Rachel; Julia Bryant and her daughter, Anita; and Jerrie Yancy as well as many others. Our family will always be grateful for the kindness that was shown to Sandy.
Sandy's interests included spending time outside and relaxing in the pool. In loving memory of Sandy's enjoyment of the outdoors, there will be a graveside service at sunset 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018. The family will receive friends during a reception from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m., Sunday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a memorial donation to Exploring Life Inc., 1815 SW Fairlawn Rd., Topeka, KS 66604 in memory of Sandy.
