Ruth Williams

Ruth Lorraine Williams, affectionately known as "Ruthie" 80, joined our Lord on June 16, 2010. She was born on October 22, 1929 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Harold C. and Agnes C. (Hannum) Williams. Ruth is survived by her cousin Kenneth Williams and his wife Agustina; their children Matt Williams; Tina (Williams) and Tim Collins; their children Nicolas and CJ; Maria (Williams) and Aaron Culbertson and their children Isabella, Emma and Abigail.

Born with cerebral palsy, Ruth lived a full and mostly independent life with the assistance of her generous caregivers. She loved animals and enjoyed socializing, bingo and shopping. She was generous, kind and an inspiration to those whose lives she touched.

Ruth generously chose to donate her body to the KU Medical Research Center. A memorial service will be held at Aldersgate Village at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
