Ruth V. Mayberry

Ruth Vivian Mayberry, 93, Topeka, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Aldersgate Village. She was born March 17, 1920 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Bessie Snyder.
Ruth graduated from Highland Park High School in 1938. She was a long-time Topeka resident prior to moving to Kansas City in the 1970's.
Ruth married Orvile "Wick" Mayberry in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brother.
Ruth is survived by four children, John (Erie) Platt, Ontario, Canada; Chuck (Lynda) Taylor, Houston, Texas; Connie Wilson, Topeka and Penny Steelman (Mary Gerant), Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A graveside ceremony will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 25 at Topeka Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to local hospice, Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Cir, Topeka, KS 66606 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
