Ruth E. Sumner, 89, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at a local care center.
Ruth was born January 29, 1928 in Latham, the daughter of Charley M. and Jennie L (Bellum) Mueller. She graduated from Latham High School.
She was a member of Colly Creek Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.
Ruth married Rufus Junior Sumner on March 11, 1946 in Winfield. He died January 5, 2017. Survivors include son, Ronald (Sharon) Sumner, Topeka; daughter, Linda (Ray) Yarman, Rogers, AR; 4 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Ruth has been cremated and Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Colly Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Memorial contributions may be made to Colly Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or Grace Hospice.
