88,passed away January 20,2003 at a Topeka Care Facility. She was born April 27,1914 in Quinter,Ks the daughter of Robert & Anna Lidya Feiler Coburn. She attended school in Gove County & graduated from Christ's Hospital Vail School of Nursing in Topeka in 1936. She was employed as an Orthopedic Nurse & Physical Therapist until 1942. She was a nursing Supervisor at Clarksville, Tn. General Hospital until 1945. She was employed at The Topeka Shawnee Co. Health Dept. as Coordinator of Nursing Service from 1952 until her retirement in 1976. She then worked for the State Legislature from 1977-1994.
She was a member of First Congregational Church, Christ's Hospital Alumni., & E&NM Extension Homemakers.
She married Louis J. Casebier on September 3,1940. He survives.
Her son Richard Louis Casebier preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter Roberta Lee Oestreich, Topeka , a sister Emma Ulrich, Quinter,KS.,five grandchildren,and 4 great grandchildren.
She was cremated,memorial services will be held Thursday January 23,2003 at 1:00pm at First Congregational Church,1701 Collins. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
