Ruth J. Morehouse, 90, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Manor Care Center.
Ruth was born August 9, 1917 in Seward, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles and Luella (Sonday) Bethke. She graduated from High School in Falls City, Nebraska.
She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church since 1953.
She married Clarence F. Morehouse on March 12, 1946. He died May 29, 1978.
Survivors include sons: Dr. Paul D. Morehouse and wife, Jean, Fort Meade, SD; Reverend Mark A. Morehouse and wife, Marilyn, Kearney, NE; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Lowell F. Morehouse; daughter, Dr. Mary E. Morehouse; brother, Ruben Bethke; and an infant sister, Dorothy Bethke.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Morehouse will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
