Ruth Elizabeth Lyne, 85, formerly of Topeka, passed away Sunday, December 16th in Arlington, Texas. Ruth was born June 4, 1922 in Hazelton, Kansas, the youngest daughter of Raymond Carl and Lillian Frances (George) Spicer. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Ruth and Mark Lyne were married August 7, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas. They resided in Topeka from 1958 until earlier this year. She was a member of Countryside Methodist Church, life member of the order of Eastern Star #462, Moose Club, Shrine Ladies, and Topeka Womens Club. Ruth is survived by her husband Mark (Arlington, Texas) and her two sons, Greg (Dublin, California) and Randy (Arlington, Texas), seven grandchildren, and a large number of family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27th at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 28th at Countryside Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
