Ruth G. Phillips, 93, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born on November 28, 1918 in Dorrance, KS to Floyd Elmer and Ida Grace (Ruby) Willson. She was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church.
Ruth is survived by her four children, Jo Ann Boyd of Lee's Summit, Mo; Velma Wells of Scranton; Rose Bramblett of Mt Pleasant, AR; and Marvin Phillips, Jr. of Henderson, NV; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin F. Phillips, eight brothers, Verne, Eddie, Emery, Lawrence, Duane and Donald Willson, and one sister, Ida Mae Willson.
Funeral services are 11:00 am, Thursday, June 7 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Visitation is an hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
