Ruth Branaman, 99, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka. Ruth was born January 30, 1912, in Abilene, daughter of Walter and Fannie (Fleetwood) Branaman. She retired from Southwestern Bell. Ruth was a 50 year member of First United Methodist Church, Topeka.
She is survived by her cousins, Michael Branaman, Topeka, Karen and Maury Elder, Wichita, Gary and Diana Branaman, El Mirage, AZ, Dean and Ruth Branaman, Savannah, MO, Kay and Terry Eakin, Meza, AZ, and their children.
Miss Branaman's wishes were to be cremated. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Abilene Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Helping Hands Humane Society or Midland Care Hospice Services. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
