Ruby P. Lynn, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at her home. She was born on January 5, 1919 in Americus, KS, the daughter of William Ross and Minnie Wilson Bennett. She had lived in Topeka most of her life. She was a bookkeeper for the family construction business, active in Women In Construction, the Rebecca's Lodge, and an active member of Lowman United Methodist Church. Ruby married Byron F. Lynn on January 16, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1981. She was also preceded in death by one son, Marc Ross Lynn on March 7, 1981 and her brother, Charlie Bennett. Survivors include one son, Bruce D. Lynn of Topeka, three grandchildren, Zachariah Ross, Morgan Sage and Kevin Ross and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Annabelle. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Ruby will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Women In Construction Scholarship Fund, P.O.
