Ruby Olive Warren Hall, 90, of Topeka, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 in her apartment at Alterra Clare Bridge Cottage.
Ruby was born June 18, 1915 in Osage City, KS to Adelbert Ray Warren and Golden Hannah Groves.
She attended grade school at Hickory Creek Grade School in Coffey County. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1932. She attended college at Emporia Teachers College. One of Ruby's first teaching positions was in 1935 at Scott Valley Grade School in Coffey County. She also visited California and taught in her Aunt's Private School. Ruby moved to Topeka in the 1940's and worked for the State of Kansas and later at Forbes AFB.
Ruby married William Boswell Hall, originally from Jackson, TN, in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Ruby's church membership was at First Southern Baptist Church.
In the past fifty years, Ruby derived much pleasure from her small poodles and rat terriers. She also greatly enjoyed buying and selling antiques and collectables.
She is survived by her nephew, Arthur Williamson of New Strawn, KS.
Funeral Services for Ruby will be at 3 pm, Thursday, January 12th at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. She will lie in state at 12 noon, Wednesday; there will not be a visitation.
Interment will be at Mt Hope Cemetery.
