Ruby Howard

Ruby A. Howard, 97 of Topeka, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2009. She was born on May 26, 1911 in Colby, Kansas to Othanile J. and Hattie Mae (Jacobs) Sewell. On December 24, 1930 she married John (Jack) Wesley Howard in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1987.

Survivors include her children Alberta Walburn, John J. and DeLoris Howard, Gale and Jim Morgan and Robert D. and Sue Howard all of Topeka; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Community Church in Topeka. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mrs. Howard will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
