Ruby A. Fletcher, 78, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at a local hospital.
Ruby was born February 24, 1929 in rural Shawnee County, the daughter of George and Jessie (Sweeney) Huntsman.
She married Arthur E. Fletcher on June 11, 1947 in Topeka.
Survivors include her husband; son, Arthur E. Fletcher Jr., Silver Lake; daughters, Linda K. Wallingford, Topeka, Leanna M. Walters, Onaga, Lisa B. Hussong, Norman, OK; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and sisters, Gladys Brechbill, Edmond, OK, May Myers, Castlerock, CO.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Ruby will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 301E. Railroad, Silver Lake, Kansas 66539.
