Ruby Emma Thompson, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on March 13, 1926 in Eureka, the daughter of Walter Francis and Iva Ruby Parsons Eaton. She graduated from Fredonia High School and moved to Topeka in the 1950's. She was a member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Ruby married David William Thompson on December 2, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1990. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Deanna Louise Hodges on October 2, 2001. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Myers and husband, Bill of Topeka, four grandchilden, Brenda Immenschuh and husband, Russell, Barbara Ann Myers, David Hodges and wife, Regina, and Amanda Hodges and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Inurnment will follow.
