Ruby Davis

Ruby "Lucille" Davis, 98, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on January 20, 1908 in Indiana, the daughter of William J. and Frances Peyton Burch. She spent most of her life in Topeka. Lucille enjoyed traveling, music and square dancing. She married Omar "Jack" Kirkpatrick. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1966. She married Clyde Davis on September 7, 1968. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2000. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, William and Claude and five sisters, Bess, Grace, Ruth, Hazel and Rosemary. Survivors include two nieces, Dorothy Brune and Marie Watts and one nephew, William Roberts. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will follow. Lucille will lie in state after Noon Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
