Roy Glassman, 82, of Roeland Park, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
He was born September 26, 1938, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Morris and Minnie (Fogel) Glassman. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1956.
Roy was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad as a Lead Electrical Inspector for 41 years, retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed watching KU Basketball, cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, was a NASCAR Fan, and enjoyed spending time talking with the Santa Fe Breakfast Club.
Roy married Thelma May Glassman on April 11, 1965 in Topeka, Kansas. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2018. Survivors include his daughter, Pamela (Jeff) Brener; granddaughter, Danielle Brener; brother, Art (Carolyn) Glassman; and one nephew, Greg Ward and three nieces, Sally Glassman, Susan Weber and Janet Glassman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family also salutes Sam and Marge Westfall, Art Soto, Penny and Ken Doll, Kim and Clint Carter, and Peter Brabant and Erin Dahl who are significant friends that assisted Roy throughout many years.
