Roy Eugene Sudduth, 81, Topeka passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at a Topeka hospital.
He was born October 13, 1932 in Topeka to Napoleon and Marie Payne Sudduth.
Roy worked for many years at the Purple Cow restaurant at 9th and Kansas Ave. in Topeka. He grew up in the Church of God, which his grandparents had founded, and was an active member of Light of the World Christian Center.
Survivors include a son, Roy Sudduth, Chicago, IL; two brothers, Dale Sudduth, Denver, CO and Rev. Howard Sudduth, Topeka as well as a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna Kidd, 3 brothers, Napoleon Sudduth, William "Bill" Sudduth, and Rev. Jack Sudduth.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka.
