Roxie Keim
Roxie M. Keim, 85, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Plaza West Regional Health Center.
She was born February 1, 1922 at Chapman, the daughter of Edward and Grace Campbell Sherraden. She was reared in Dickinson County, attended Fairview Grade School, graduated from Chapman High School and moved to Topeka in 1950.
She married Donnis A. Keim on January 13, 1939 at Chapman, He died September 4, 1997.
Mrs. Keim worked for City and Shawnee County Refuse Department for 29 years, until she retired in February 1986.
Survivors include a son, Jack D. Keim and wife, Karen, Lawrence; two sisters, Winfred V. Greenlee, Kansas City, MO., Jean I. Hoover, Abilene; two grandchildren, Marc Keim, Jaquel Keim, both of Topeka; and a great granddaughter, Jorianne.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Crestview United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Keim will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
