Roslyn Ragan Keller, Long Time Manhattan and Topeka Resident
Mrs. Frank Keller died Saturday evening after a short illness. She was born Roberta Roslyn Ragan January 31, 1927 to James P. and Olga Pryor Ragan in Ridgeway, MO and graduated from high school in Neosho, MO in 1944. She worked as secretary to the Ship's Service Officer in Seattle, Washington during WW1l, later in a civil service clerical positions at Camp Crowder and Fort Leonard Wood, MO and for the Veteran's Administration in Kansas City, Mo.
She married Frank B. Keller in 1947 in Kansas City, KS. They moved from Missouri in 1956 to Detroit, Ml, later to Chicago, IL and had lived in Manhattan, KS from 1963 until she and her husband moved to Topeka in 1993.
Mrs. Keller attended KSU and had served on the boards of the Manhattan League of Women's Voters and the Manhattan Civic Theater. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
In Topeka, she was a member of the Women's Club, NARFE, and the Civic Nucomers Club, and the Topeka. Symphony League. She was a member of the Stormont-Vail Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Hospital from 1994 until shortly before her death.
Mrs. KeIler is survived by her husband Frank, a brother Ralph Ragan of Bedford, MA, a sister, Margaret Stone of Spring Hill, KS, three children, Madelyn Yeo of Ukiah, CA, John Keller of Lawrence, Paula Keller Smith of Topeka, and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, in the Welsley Memorial Chapel at Aldersgatge Village, 7220 SW Asbury Drive in Topeka. It was Mrs. Keller's wish that donations,in her memory be made to the Aldersgate Good Samaritan Fund. On-line condolences may be made to www.penwellgabel.com
