Roslyn McHenry

December 5, 1962 — April 19, 2025

Topeka

Roslyn Kaye McHenry passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at the University of Kansas Hospital.

Roslyn is survived by her devoted husband, Bryce; her children, Sean (Cheryl) and Holli Epperly (Justin); her grandchildren, Guy, Lena, and Margo; and her brothers, Jim Prater (Sheri) and Ben Prater (Chanda). She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ardyce; sister Elisha; and brother Bob.

Roslyn lived with creativity, compassion, and joy. She had a deep love for art—a passion she shared with her granddaughter Lena—along with a lifelong appreciation for music and dancing. She and Bryce first fell in love country swing dancing, and music continued to bring her joy throughout her life. Her garden was another place where she loved to spend her time.

What truly defined Roslyn was her unwavering kindness. She cared deeply for others, always offering support, love, and respect to everyone around her. Her warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

In honor of Roslyn’s life, donations may be made to Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center or the Lawrence Humane Society—organizations that reflect the values she held dear.

A private family graveside will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
