Rosemary Lucille

Rosemary Lucile Purdie, 91, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at a Topeka, hospital.

She was born December 22, 1912 at Clyde, Kansas the daughter of Pliny Marcus and Olive Evelyn Haynes Harmon.

She received her student pilot license and preformed her first solo flight in May 1934.

Mrs. Purdie owned and operated Topeka Chair Rental.

She was a member of AARP and the YWCA.

She married Russell L. Purdie December 24, 1937. He preceded her in death April 27, 1979. Survivors include:
one niece, Helen Jory Walnut Creek, CA
one great nephew, Craig Curtis Topeka, KS
and one gret niece, Linda Haines Garland, TX
