Rose Marie "Rosie" Cobb, 86, of Bonner Springs, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at her home.
She was born October 1, 1927, in Laclede, Kansas, the daughter of Goodlet Clarence and Anna (Fairbanks) Bonjour. She was a 1945 graduate of Havensville High School.
Rosie was employed by the JC Penney's Distribution Center 20 for years, retiring in 2002.
Mrs. Cobb was a member of Top-Kan Square Dancing Club, in Topeka and Plaza Singles, Shawnee.
Rosie married Orvel Paulsen on June 15, 1947 in Corning, KS. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1976. She married James M. Cobb on October 23, 1999 in Bonner Springs, KS. He survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Don LeWayne (Linda) Paulsen and Ricky Lynn (Sue) Paulsen, all of Bonner Springs; five grandchildren, Angelia (John) Pebley Matthew, Sean, Seth and Stacee Paulsen; five great-granddaughters, Marina, Maya and Malia Pebley, Caitlyn Edwards and Iommi Paulsen; a brother, Richard L. Bonjour, Topeka and two sisters, Laura Terry, Highland, KS Carolyn Davison, Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Julia DeVere.
Rosie enjoyed dancing, especially square and round and flower gardening.
A funeral ceremony will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Neuchatel Cemetery, Nemaha County, KS. Rosie will lie in state from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
