Rosalie J. (Vogel) Carson, 83, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Oakley Place Assisted Living.
She was born April, 5, 1933 in Topeka, the daughter of Walter G. and Minnie Andres Vogel.
Rosalie was a Topeka High graduate and went to work briefly for the Santa Fe offices where she met her future husband Walter. She then went to work for the State of Kansas, and later worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 20 plus years of service.
She was a member of West Side Christian Church and enjoyed traveling, china painting and her grandchildren.
She married Walter W. Carson in 1956, who preceded her in death in 2003.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana Mitchell (David) and a son, Daniel Carson (Lynette); 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Betty Vaught and Dorothy Williams, all of Topeka.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2016 at West Side Christian Church, 432 SW. Lindenwood, Topeka, KS 66606 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
