Rosalie Ann Bearce, 73, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born January 18, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph Russell and Ruth (Dickson) Cazier. She was a 1960 graduate of Topeka High School.
Rosalie was employed by Fleming Foods in Topeka for 13 years.
She was a member of Brookwood Covenant Church and Women of the Moose Lodge in Topeka.
Rosalie married Roy Allen Patterson on April 1, 1960 in Topeka. They were divorced. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2009 at the VA Hospital. She married Harold Lee Bearce on June 20, 1981 at Ward Meade Gardens, Topeka. He survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Ronald A. Patterson, Topeka; two siblings, Helen Folkerts, Manhattan and Wendell Cazier, Topeka; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Dean Patterson on March 12, 2003 and a brother, Byron Cazier on November of 1995.
Rosalie enjoyed her family, her home, gardening and enjoyed following her niece, Ruth playing soccer and football. She was a great caregiver, putting others before herself.
A funeral ceremony will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at the Mt. Hope Chapel, 4700 SW 17th street, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Rosalie will lie in state after 3 pm, Monday, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
