Rosa A. Wright, 78, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born December 25, 1927 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Oliver E. and Rosa (Womeldorff) Mark. Rosa was a 1945 graduate of Eudora High School and had attended Washburn University.
She had worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Parsons, KS and retired in 1973 from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Topeka.
She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, Topeka Genealogical Society and the YWCA.
Rosa married Albert E. Wright, Jr. March 20, 1949 in Parsons, KS. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Vicki Wright Bell in 1996. Survivors include her daughter Marilyn Dibble, and her son David Wright both of Topeka; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lucille Scott, Baxter Springs, KS; and her brother Ralph Mark of California.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
