Rory M. Emery, 60, of Meriden, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born December 8, 1955 in Topeka, the son of Michael Leroy and Treva (Walker) Emery.
Rory graduated from Highland Park High School.
Rory was employed by Westar Energy for the past 35 years.
Rory married Tracy Greenlee on August 28, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Justin (Baylea) Emery of Meriden, Shawn Emery of Topeka, Jody Emery of Meriden, five grandchildren, Wesley, Sawyer, Samuel, Suttyn and Gunnar, his mother, Treva Emery of Rossville and his siblings, Joyce Paynter, Judy (Darrel) Tyner, Tracy (Kara) Emery and John Emery.
Rory was preceded in death by his father, Michael L. Emery.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Meriden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Jefferson County Shooting Sports c/o Rod & Susie Deekens, 17443 78th St., McLouth, Kansas 66054.
