Ronald G. Van Dalsem, 75, passed away on Sept. 27, 2022 due to complications from pneumonia. He was born April 2, 1947 in Concordia, Kansas to LeRoy and Laura Emily Van Dalsem.
He graduated from Washburn University and was a lifelong fan of the K-State Wildcats. He retired in 1999 as an industrial plastics salesman for Cope and Regal Plastics. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Silver Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Van Dalsem; daughters J.J. Banks of Diamond, Missouri; Amanda Van Dalsem of Columbia, Missouri; and Sarah Towle (Tony) of Topeka; a son, Shane Van Dalsem (Jen); and grandchildren Brandon Van Dalsem of Tennessee; Daniel and Amelia Van Dalsem of Topeka; and Oliver Towle of Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carlton Van Dalsem.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church of Silver Lake or the Topeka Rescue Mission.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Morrill Cemetery in Morrill, Kansas. Family and friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Silver Lake Fellowship Hall (Old Rock Church) at 301 E. Railroad St. in Silver Lake, KS.
